1. Function of the Nominative
The nominative case is the base form of a noun and is used mainly for:
- The subject of the sentence (who/what is performing the action)
- Predicate nouns after the verb biti (“to be”)
Questions: ko? (who?) / šta? (what?)
Examples:
- Marko radi. — Marko works. (subject)
- Ana je učiteljica. — Ana is a teacher. (predicate noun)
