1. Function of the Locative

The locative case is used:

1. To indicate location — where something/someone is
2. To indicate topics — what something is about
3. Always with prepositions (never used alone)

Questions: o kome? (about whom?) / o čemu? (about what?) / gde? (where?)

Examples:

• Živim u Beogradu. — I live in Belgrade. (location)
• Pričamo o Ani. — We are talking about Ana. (topic)

2. Locative Endings – Singular
