1. Function of the Locative
The locative case is used:
- To indicate location — where something/someone is
- To indicate topics — what something is about
- Always with prepositions (never used alone)
Questions: o kome? (about whom?) / o čemu? (about what?) / gde? (where?)
Examples:
- Živim u Beogradu. — I live in Belgrade. (location)
- Pričamo o Ani. — We are talking about Ana. (topic)
